Decompression Table
Lifestyle Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center announces a new treatment for chronic low back pain caused by injury or degeneration to the lumbar or cervical region of the spine. This Dynatronics Decompression Unit allows patients a non-surgical option to low back pain. This treatment significantly reduces back pain and has allowed many patients to resume a more active lifestyle and live pain-free.
The Dynatronics Decompression Table has successfully treated patients with herniated discs, bulging discs, disc degeneration, facet syndrome, sciatica and failed back surgery. All of these conditions increase pressure on the nerves resulting in extreme muscle tension and back pain. The table works by gradually relieving nerve compression associated with low back pain. By applying negative pressure to the affected area, the treatment enlarges the space around the disc, strengthens spinal ligaments, and keeps lower spine properly aligned.
To begin a treatment, the patient is placed on the table. A lower back harness is attached and effectively distributes the pressure. Once secure, the technician elevates the table to a horizontal position and directs the treatment to the appropriate area. Prior to treatment the patient is treated with light therapy to prepare the area to get the most out of decompression. After the session, a cold pack with or without muscle stimulation is applied to help improve soft tissue healing. Each session lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. Patients receive 15 treatments over the course of 5 to 8 weeks, followed by treatments on an as needed basis. Clinical studies have shown great results after only 3 weeks of treatment.
